After a successful premiere, our documentary The Music Medicine is now being shown in various cinemas and Alzheimer’s Cafés and Meeting points. Directed by acclaimed journalist and author Frénk van der Linden, the film explores the fascinating relationship between dementia and music. People living with dementia are sometimes able to retrieve memories and lyrics that seemed lost—through music. Singer and trainer Maartje is dedicated to supporting this vulnerable group by singing and dancing with them. Can music serve as medicine? And what would that look like?
