  3. Ronald Snijders winner of the Boy Edgar Award

We warmly congratulate Ronald Snijders on the Boy Edgar award. The Boy Edgar award, the most important award in the Netherlands for jazz and improvised music, was this year awarded to flautist, composer and bandleader Ronald Snijders (71). The career of Snijders is one of diversity. He mixes the Surinamese musical styles of kaseko and kawina with jazz, funk and soul, leaving his mark on the development of jazz and improvised music in the Netherlands.
